And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as it the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day draying near (Hebrews 10:24-25, emphasis added)
At Cross of Hope Church, discipleship is at the heart of our mission. We believe that growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ is a lifelong journey, and we’re committed to walking alongside you every step of the way. Whether you’re new to faith or looking to grow in your faith, we invite you to get connected and experience the transformative power of discipleship. Together, we’ll explore God’s Word, build meaningful relationships, and equip one another to live out our faith in everyday life.
Life Courses give you an opportunity to learn in an interactive, classroom type setting. Some of the classes are ongoing courses, which have no definitive end date, while others follow the 8-week schedule of our Deep Dive classes.
Some of our Life Courses are targeted toward a specific demographic within our church, such as age group or shared life experiences, while other courses are focused on a specific biblical topic.
These are typically more of a lecture style format and focus on more complex topics, including doctrinal and theological issues or inductive teaching through a book of the Bible or specific passage.
These 8-week classes are for the believer who wants to deepen their understanding of God’s Word. We plan to have 4 quarters of Deep Dives each year.
The purpose of our “Growth Group” ministry is to bring together groups of believers that can live life together. Most of our groups are open to anyone who are interested in joining, with a few groups focused on a specific demographic (i.e. singles, young marrieds, seniors, etc.).
Our “On-Campus” groups meet at CHC, while “Off-Campus” groups meet in member’s homes, places of business, or in a public venue like a restaurant or coffee shop.
There is a group waiting to welcome you!
The scriptures teach us that God gives spiritual gifts to His children. Their purpose is to promote “the common good” of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:7), to build up the church (1 Corinthians 14:12), and to prepare us each for “works of service . . . until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12–13). When a person accepts the gift of salvation through placing their faith in Jesus Christ receives the Holy Spirit inside of them (Ephesians 1:12–14). The Spirit then gives to each believer certain gifts from God to do the work of God (1 Corinthians 12:4–6). Below is a link to our Spiritual Gifts Test which will help you determine where you can best be of service to the Lord.
