Family

Our Mission

Our mission is to affirm and foster Biblical, healthy relationships within the family by cultivating and equipping parents in their relationship and to each other and by offering training, encouragement, and support for parents as they strive to raise up their children to be faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

At Cross of Hope, we know that God’s plan is for families to be the strong, thriving foundation of the Church and of our local communities. We also know that Parents, as the foundation and leaders of the family, face many challenges every day. To help face these challenges we offer encouragement and support through an engaging community, teaching and training through biblically based classes, and by building a community of like-minded parents that help uplift and support one another.

Family Ministry Kick Off Picnic

Sunday, October 12 | 12:30 PM | Cross of Hope Pavilion

Families are invited to join us for a time of food, fellowship, yard games and an opportunity to hear more about our new family ministry! We will meet out in the Pavilion for lunch at 12:30 PM. The cost is only $5 per person with a max of $25 for immediate family. We will be having chicken, mac-n-cheese, and green beans with water & lemonade to drink. If you would like to bring a side or dessert to share, that would be great but is not required.
Please register by October 5.

Growth Groups

Essential’s Class
Taught by: Matt Vince, Family Pastor

We are excited to launch a new short-term growth group designed to explore essential matters of faith.  Whether you are looking to explore Christianity, develop new relationships in our church, or try out a group for the first time, we invite you to check out this new opportunity.

Ask any group what it means to be a Christian, and we will hear different answers. But what unifies us? What are the basic characteristics of our faith that every Christian affirms? In this six-session series, we will explore concepts common to all Christians through the centuries. No matter what divides us, we are united by these truths about the God we worship and our relationship with him.

Begins Sunday, October 5 at 9:30 am in room A-1.

Parenting Class

Wednesday Nights, Starting October 29

Wednesday Evenings, 7:00-8:30 PM, in room D-29, we will start our Intentional Parenting Class. “To be an exceptional parent, you need to be an intentional parent. But don’t worry! You are not alone!” In this class we will be working together to be more intentional parents, rather than “quick-fix” parents. This will be an opportunity to learn and grow together!

Activities & Events

We are a new and growing ministry and are diligently working to flesh out and finalize details of our offerings! Please be patient and check back often for updates to details of upcoming activities and events. Here is what we’re working on:
  • Weekly GrowthWe offer several opportunities for growth and connection on both Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings including a rotation of Life Courses on the topics of parenting, marriage relationships, and finances.
  • Monthly Fellowship Join us for a time of food and fellowship! We will gather for a meal and a time to build our relationships in a casual, warm setting! The kids can play together while the adults connect!
  • Quarterly Outings We have Quarterly Outings for our families to gather to make memories! These can include cookouts, enjoying a Guardians, Monsters, Cavs, or Brown’s game together, or meeting up at a local location for a time of fun.
  • Annual Conferences There is much to learn and ways to grown in our relationships with our spouses and with our children, and there is a lager body of believers we can connect with and learn from and so we promote and encourage participation in various biblical conferences to help us be refreshed and refocused on our calls of ministry to our families.
